The function of the volume keys, of course, is not superfluous, but there are times when the icon cannot be removed.
The sound settings panel seems to be glued and not that the control goes off scale, it is not removed.
There is a universal way to remove the volume control scale, but first, as the doctors say, you need to find out the reason why the regulator is frozen.
Below I will tell you what to do. I will show you how to turn off the key control slider altogether, how to remove this mixer and why this happens.
Universal way to remove the volume icon
To remove the volume control panel, just hold down the volume down and power button. Hold until the screen turns off completely.
Then you can release the keys. After a second or two, the Samsung or Xiaomi phone will start up and start working as before.
The situation in most cases does not repeat itself, but it still happens that everything starts in a new way.
Then until you find out the reason, you can generally remove the button control. To do this (on Samsung, on Xiaomi Redmi a little differently), go to “Sounds and vibration” in the settings.
Then select «Volume» (in the future you will control the sound here) and move the slider from the bottom to the left opposite «Volume keys function».
Then, when everything comes to its senses, perhaps with the release of the update, restore everything as it was before.
Why is the volume icon not removed?
There is no clear answer why it is impossible to remove the volume control scale. This may be a flaw in the system and the update will fix it. It is also often impossible to remove the volume mixer due to the installation of third-party applications.
To check this you need to start your phone in safe mode. Then third-party applications will not be launched.
If the phone behaves normally in safe mode, then delete the applications that you have installed in turn and see how the key function behaves.
The last reason is the worst. Moisture could get into your Samsung or Redmi phone and the sound button shorted out. Then you can’t do without a service, but I hope this is not your case.
